Lode

I took advantage of the early sun to go to Anglesey Abbey this morning. The winter garden is quite magnificent at the moment - a riot of bright orange and red stems and masses and masses of snowdrops.

However, despite their prettiness, the flowers weren't catching my eye... I was playing with my fisheye lens and I rather liked what it was doing to the trees here and elsewhere.  This blip shows a stretch of the lode which feeds Lode Mill (the white building on the extreme right).  The lode is mostly straight, but there is a natural bend at this point, which the lens has exaggerated somewhat.
