Train Story

For the Half Term the Steam Railway offered free admission for visitors  to explore Havenstreet Station. Although there were no trains running there was plenty for families to see and do including the newly opened train and carriage sheds where they could get close to the wonderfully restored engines and rolling stock.

Under the name of Train Story the sheds form a dual function of showing off the exhibits and undercover storage for the old carriages which previously had to be kept outdoors throughout the Winter. Safe from the elements  the rolling stock some of which are over a hundred years old will have a much longer lifespan between major maintenance work.
