The most haunted pub in York

We had to do some bits of shopping in York and stopped for lunch at the Golden Fleece. A board outside the pub gives the following information:

"These are the oldest, and most haunted, licensed premises in York. Mentioned in the City Archives as far back as 1503, this historic, wooden-framed building is without foundations - which would explain our crooked staircases, and odd nooks and crannies.
"Belonging to, and aptly named by, The Merchant Adventurers who were responsible for the burgeoning 14th century woollen trade on the river Ouse, the premises have also been owned by Sir John Peckett, Lord Mayor of York in 1702. Lady Peckett is still frequently seen..."
