Sunset over the obelisk

Glorious sunset this evening over the Hagley Wychbury obelisk which you can just see like a needle pointing skywards on the hilltop.  This is about 6 miles from home (where the photo was taken from) as the crow flies but is a well-known local landmark.  It was finally restored and re-opened to the public in 2011.  It's very close to the ancestral home of the Lyttleton Family at Hagley Hall.

I've only been there once and that was for the birthday celebrations of my schoolfriend and bridesmaid, Julie, about 45 year ago.  It would have been Julie's 61st birthday tomorrow but she died much too young four years ago.
