Corn

Fresh from M's garden, picked just minutes before it was eaten. 

I went around to M & J's after work for a catch-up, for dinner and to watch the cricket.  New Zealand v England.  It should have been a great, close match.  Someone forgot to tell England they had to play though!  120-odd runs on the board and all out with 17 overs still to bat.  Oh dear.  

Then someone forgot to tell Brendan McCullum that he could take his time - he helped smash New Zealand past the England total in a smidgen over 12 overs (though he did go out before the game was won).  

Seriously!  The much-anticipated day-night match was all over with the sun still shining brightly.  I could have watched a full ball-by-ball replay and still been in bed before 10.00!

It was a scarily awesome performance by the kiwis.  I hope they haven't peaked too early.
