Tamarind tree

This is the lawn outside reception at our hotel in Chang Mai. It is stunning here and to think we are in the centre of a thriving metropolis with a population of over half a million people. The lawn isn't grass but a slightly coarser plant more suitable to the climate and the feet of our two grandsons. We spend ages chasing each other around this giant tree.
