Gelligaer Common

I went out of my way a bit today, looking for Sultan the pit pony at Penallta. Allthough he was pretty awesome, it kept raining and hailing and it was very inhospitable.

I also could not quite get enough height  to photograph him properly, so at some point I will go back with a stepladder...

On the way back over Gelligaer Common the weather really closed in. Wind picked up and I was briefly captured in a snowstorm.

This greeted me coming down at the North side...
