Highland Dancing!

So today we ventured into a whole new world - CrocGirl's first experience of a Highland Dancing competition! This is her and (her tall) friend who has been dancing for a while.

Dancers from all over Scotland gathered - there were kilts, tartan troosers, flings, reels, swords ... some very stressed mothers and some very upset children (seems this is not all lighthearted fun!!) ... 8 1/2 hours of all kinds of things! There was a home baking stall to keep us going!

I'm not sure what she has gotten us into .... we borrowed this kilt ... and now know the prices involved in the full kit out that may be required ... seems I may need to keep working for a while!!!!
