Starvation

In my younger days in the north of England it wasn't uncommon to hear the expression "I'm starved" or "It's starvation" meaning "I'm cold" or "It's very cold".  I'm pretty sure this little ? Dunnock had both meanings in mind this morning as he perched on the feeding table with his feathers  puffed up to keep warm.  His little head almost disappeared into his shoulders.
