An interesting journey home. Delays due to a baby who had chicken pox and a fit to fly cert, but Monarch were having none of it. Due to baggage handling shift change getting the family's bags off meant we were delayed taking off by over an hour. Strong headwind made for a long and at times bumpy flight. Then a ridiculously long delay getting bags at Luton. Home and in bed by 4am when I had reckoned on being back by 1am ish.

Carys was awake when I woke and couldn't or didn't want to say when she started reading. Will staggered through just after nine, fell asleep again and remained so until we woke him after 11am. I had a tesco slot 10-11 so got up for that, typically the shopping didn't arrive until 10.55.

So a slow morning, a scoot into town to get birthday cards for Daddy. A stop for much needed caffeine for me and the heavens opened. Daddy to the rescue. Having been picked up the kids put on their pj's and relaxed. I finished unpacking, packed PE bags and swim bags for tomorrow. We all had tea together and then it was time for bed. Will was asleep fairly quickly considering the time he woke. Carys however was still awake an hour after her lights out. I just hope we don't pay for it later in the week.
