Otago Peninsula

This is a view of Dunedin from the top of the Otago peninsula. I'm glad I took it as soon as we got here because not many minutes later it was gone. In fact, Dunedin is already gone. It should be where that dark line is above the islands. Just a bit of sea fog.

We took a drive out along some of the bays and were very pleased to see a flock of Majestic Spoonbills feeding. A wonderful sight. Sadly we had no binoculars and I only had a little camera with me. We'd only set out to get petrol and hadn't intended the expedition. We'll go back tomorrow and also maybe see yellow-eyed Penguins and Royal Albatross. Maybe?
