This shot is taken in the "old Ingbirchworth" end of the village. It was a cottage, and is now a store as part of the farm, we think. It is Grade II Listed, and dates from the 17th Century. The mullioned windows in the gabled front have "hoodmoulds" to deflect water. Next door is a late Victorian ( we think ) dwelling with large sash windows.  You can learn a lot about a building by the style of the windows, says my husband the geographer...
