Wind

It was a very blowy afternoon at Saltholme Nature Reserve in the Tees Estuary. There are good facilities for watching a range of wildfowl and other birds from three architect designed hides which offered welcome shelter from the wind. The centre provides an excellent cafe and shop. I watched stonechat, goldfinch, greenfinch and stock doves in addition to a good selection of ducks including teal, widgeon and pochard.
