Ruskin's View

Today we had a walk from Kirkby Lonsdale,

After viewing St. Mary's Church, we came to Ruskin's view of the river Lune, a scene which inspired the artist John Ruskin. A beautiful view, particularly with the sun shining.

Our walk was a six mile circular up one side of the Lune then back on the other to Kirkby Lonsdale. The only problem with the walk was we were just making it up from an OS map and the path we chose to cross the Lune had no stepping stones. Fortunately the water only came up to our knees and we waded across without falling in.
