Skittish

Crikey Mikey.  If you think butterflies are shy, you should try moths.

I have a new appreciation of UniqueandLovely's journal, after trying to get a decent shot of this little chappie.  Like a lot of our critters, this one is very tiny, but although not much colour, when you look at him closely the detail is just beautiful.

And what is he?  I knew you were going to ask me that.

At this stage I haven't a clue - I am not experienced in moth identification.  I have a chart on my wall of South Australian moths, and given that I found him up on the ridge, just by the National park, I am torn between a gum-leaf skeletoniser (Uraba lugens), or some sort of a cut-work moth.

Basically, I just don't know.
