Life, Quality therof

Not a very conventional photo of Edinburgh, but they're 10 a penny so what the hell.

It's street art outside the Omni Centre. Not the most attractive corner of town either.

At 10.25am I jumped on my bike and flew down the road to Kirkcaldy railway station. A lovely sunny morning. Just over a mile in 7 minutes. No, not Chris Hoy in disguise. It's downhill all the way.

A 35 minute train ride, starting along the coast with herons, seals and so on to be glimpsed as the train flashes by. Well, rumbles by. This is Scotrail.

Across the Forth Bridge - the north end shrouded in mist and the south end bathed in sun.

A 15 minute walk to my lunchtime meeting, fortified by a double espresso & pain au chocalat en route. It's in Royal Terrace, not far from the Omni, but one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in a city with more than its fair share.

2 hours later, reverse the process.
