55/365: A Norman Afternoon (in more ways than one)

Went to Skipton Castle today with my friend, Norm. It's a really beautiful place and I especially love this part - the Conduit Court. I think I took about 20 photos of it today, from every conceivable angle.

The Conduit Court is so named because it was the termination of the spring water supply piped to the Castle.

The yew tree was planted as a sapling by Lady Anne Clifford in 1659 after her restoration of the Castle.

Had a nice  pot of tea at the Castle, followed by a look around Holy Trinity Church next door. The day was rounded off nicely with lunch and a pint in the Narrowboat :)
