Greene - Part 3 - Pipit

After being on South Georgia for 4 months I finally caught a glimpse of the island's only songbird - the pipit. Only found on South Georgia, the pipit was seriously threatened by invasive rat species but, following the success of one of the largest habitat restoration projects in the world, the pipit is now returning to many of its old haunts on the island's mainland. We were lucky enough to see no less than 6 pipits during our time on the Greene.
