Dippermania

A trip down to the river to check on the Dippers and continue my quest for the perfect Dipper shot. I saw at least 5 birds, all looking in fine fettle. Two were ringed - the first time I've seen ringed birds down there, so I don't know whether they are newcomers, or they have been ringed recently. this one was singing on his mid-river perch, and it must have done the trick, because shortly after, I saw him with another bird, both working the river. Only a paltry 12 bird species seen today, compared to yesterday's 42, but when I walk along the river, I find it difficult to take my eyes away from the water, so it's hardly surprising.
