I've never heard so many people complain about the weather. We shared a lift in the supermarket with a man, mopping his brow with a handkerchief, who told us that he had just heard on the radio that it was hotter than Spain and Turkey today.

Our task this afternoon was to pick up a sick bike, hopefully still attached to some railings in Woodlands, and drag it along the back-pavements and river paths to the repair shop in Maryhill. This was taken while we took a well-earned rest sitting on a shaded wall by the Kelvin, watching the world pass slowly by.
