Derelict Thursday: Tiverton Castle

We saw some light at the end of the tunnel today when we got a phone call from the Residential Home to say that Tess's Dad should be able to move in at the end of next week - and that means we can go back home.

He wanted to go to his regular Day Care Centre today for the first time since Mum died. We stayed for a while and the fact that he was so happy there reassured us that he would be equally happy in the Home just round the corner from us.

We took the chance to sort out more business at the Bank and the Doctor's and grab some lunch in one of the many pleasant cafés in town.

I also grabbed this shot of the ruins of one of the outer towers of Tiverton Castle which is adjacent to St Peter's Church (see last Monday's blip) and is marginally younger than the church, if in decidedly worse condition.

Thought it needed a bit of vintage treatment
