Nothing escaped my (now ex) colleague's powers of observation. Sarky so-and-so. But this is the small bag that goes with me most work days, in briefcase or pannier according to the mode of transport.

Contents: mechanical pencil & spare leads; Kaweco AL Sport & cartridges; highlighter pencils; mini stapler; sticky index tabs (lots); USB sticks (4 seems excessive); Citrix fob; mini & micro USB data cables.

So, yes Bruce (for that is my former colleague's name): a pencil case. Welcome to the 21st century ...

In other news, flu is receding. I've turned round a reasonable amount of work at short notice today, from the comfort of our bay window. Tired enough to be glad to have been spared the commute. Upwards and onwards ...
