Meadows throng

Typing this a little hazy from horrible work day, hard run and drunken Ulysses reading group meeting. Score? 2 nil to me. We expanded the Ulysses group by 50% with the addition of the lovely fiona tonight and relocated to the meadows, a bit out of shot up near the pitch and put slopes where there was more room.

Halfway through steve explaining joyce's use of democratised anti-plot fiona spots a cute fluffy rabbit bounding towards us. Turns out, after a few enquiries by citizen kasty, its a pet rabbit called Napoleon just at the park with its owners. It runs free until called back or rescued from danger. It's a minature lop with big droopy ears and soft mousey fur. Not a streetwise kinda rabbit. An aww melting bottom lip kinda cutie. It gave an extra jump and skip in the air when it was happiest.

Napoleon the rabbit running free in the park interrupting Ulysses groups, really?... Only in Edinburgh.

A decadent 20c or more today, the city puts on its summer dress, grabs a can and burns stuff in the park. A ritual offering for the half believed miracle of clement weather.
