A hand emerges!

This morning I went up Nescliffe Hill with the U3A photography group. It was warm in the sun at the bottom but a freezing cold wind on the top.

We photographed some views and lichen etc. but I was taken with this hand pushing it's way up through the earth. I would have removed some of the bits of bracken to tidy it up a bit but the area was fenced off.
Perhaps it was just as well that I couldn't get too close ..............!
