Off to the Filmhouse to see Scattered Clouds (also known as Two in the Shadow) a Japanese drama from 1967. The last film of renowned director Mikio Naruse.

Knowing next to nothing about what to expect going in it was a moody, fraught, personal drama dealing with loss, guilt, loneliness, disconnection, desire and despair. Which sounds much more depressing than it was.
