Singapore on Saturday

Chinese Lunar New Year is in full swing.

We had a great day snooping for bargains in Chinatown including a Chinese restaurant supplier's store.

Today's foto includes the roof top infinity pool where we are staying and the view from the pool across to the Singapore CBD in the late evening.

There are lots of orange lanterns hanging across the roads and the malls. We were interested in seeing many cumquat trees everywhere as part of the New Year decorations. Pairs of mandarins (fruit, not people)seem very popular - see them in stores, car dashboards and window sills. It appears they are a traditional lucky item.
