Philadelphia Flower Show

The theme of the Flower Show this year is Hollywood.  This is a display based on the animated movie "Cars".  We spent most of the morning and early afternoon here.  I bought two African Violet plants and three types of begonia.  We got our hands stamped at lunchtime and went across the street to the Reading Terminal Market for a bite to eat.  The food vendor told Mr M that the crowd in the market increases 5 times over regular days during the week of the flower show.  Easy to believe, since we were elbow to elbow with everyone else.  But it's an experience, and the food is delicious.  

It started to snow late in the morning, and then changed to sleet and freezing rain.  We had a good walk from the flower show back to our parking garage and it was a little dicey trying to stay upright on the sidewalks.  Driving wasn't too bad, and the further away we got from Philadelphia, the freezing rain changed to all snow.  We took our time and kept a good distance between ourselves and the cars in front of us, and we made it safely home without incident.  

Mr M will pick up Riley tomorrow morning.  It is strange in the house without him.
