Mum

A picture of my mummy and I, taken on holiday when I was about 6 years old.  I can remember that holiday (and the lovely welsh stovepipe hat I bought myself and wore proudly!) though it was many years ago now.

Sadly, my Mum died of breast cancer on this day in 1989, she was only 54...far too young and she never got to see her grandchildren.  I can't believe it was that long ago though, it only seems like five years ago!  I can still hear her voice saying 'Jeanette, stop showing off!!' when I do or say something naughty now!
