Old Glasgow Herald Building Tower.

Another dreich and cold day in the city. The Lighthouse was once the printing office of the Glasgow Herald. Mackintosh was involved with the design of the extension and the tower, a prominent feature of the building, contains an 8,000-gallon water tank to protect the building and all its contents from the risk of fire. Designed in 1893-95 it was Mackintosh's first public building.
