Moody Blues

Wild, wild weather. We worked hard this morning (second edition of the walking book) and had to venture out to check a post number. As we arrived at the pier horizontal hail swept eastwards and we sat and watched in the car. Suddenly we realised we were looking at three otters ducking and diving and surfing on the waves. Too far out and too busy for a good shot but how very special to see them  - so agile and playful; and I have never seen three together before.
We then went on to Faranamanagh to look at the waves. This bit is deceptively calm though the moody blues were spectacular. Just over the headland the water was churning. We didn't linger, the wind was cheek-bitingly ferocious.
