Summertime

With the snows revisiting today I was reminded that Summer is ust around the corner. This old, now abandoned, summer hut on the beach reminds me of expectations thirty years ago when a dry roof over our heads was good enough for a summer retreat.
You went to the seaside in Skerries, Rush or Donabate and stayed as long as possible and spent the day on the beach or exploring the sand dunes with no care in the world. No jacuzzi, pool or modern comfort was ever envisaged.....and it was heaven...just saying
