First day of Spring

It may have been the first day of the meteorological Spring, but the late afternoon was decidedly wintry. We had been orienteering in the morning at Cawthorne Woods, before heading off via the A65 for home. The best that could be said for the orienteering was that it was well planned. The area was shocking; nearly everywhere in the woods was covered in brambles and it made for miserable running. By the time we had finished the rain had started and I began to wonder what my blip would be. As we headed west it started to snow, so we paused to get the camera, so the rest of the family could take some shots. Unfortunately just by Settle there was an accident that shut the road for an hour or so, and that left us plenty of time to take photos of the snow. The blip was taken by R as she was nearer the sheep; it is a good representative view of late Sunday.
