Appledore harbour

Took a break from writing (which is coming along swimmingly) to walk dogs down to Appledore harbour. It was built to import timber from Prince Edward Island in Canada, to build ships during the Napoleonic wars.
I tweeted this to a couple of friends who live in PEI and one of them informed me her great grandmother had the surname (Yeo) of the family that started shipping the timber over. So one of those odd little connections you make between places and people.
