London for Free!!!

Two Temple Place- see virtual tour
Yesterday  we stumbled across Two Temple Place  but it was closed - so returned today to see what it was like .,It was   built for one of the richest men in the world at the time Lord Astor - William Waldorf Astor as his estate office !!Famous for the venue where Lady Rose got married in Downton Abbey ( yes I know I slept thru that ) .
Now it is run by the Bulldog Trust  who use it for events and exhibitions
 , At the moment  Cotton to Gold, an exhibition showcasing the riches gathered by the great collector-philanthropists of the booming industrial North West
It includes  - rare medieval books - , coins , Japanese prints , taxidermy ,
Tiffany glass , Turner watercolours , insect collection , icons . - all for free !!
Then walked up to Temple Church ( contains effigies of Knights Templars ) and listened to a free organ recital .
The weather vane is supposed to represent   Columbus' ship when he discovered America ,
