Heading up to The Sanctuary ...

When Lancaster Library was refurbished, a while back, the old familiar reference library (upstairs) was completely cleared and is now The Sanctuary .... but without the steam rooms, koi carp ponds and treatment rooms! On my way to a meeting up there I realised how much I like the old bits ... especially those inset, slightly sparkly designs on the treads. Gosh I've been walking up thoses stairs - on and off - since starting work at the museum next door since1987.
