Churchyard Crocus

After visiting the garden centre I called in at the churchyard in the nearby village of Newchurch where there are spectacular displays of Spring flowers.

Among the swathes of daffodils and snowdrops are many beautiful clumps of crocus. With a clear blue sky the light was rather contrasty which means I will have to return another day, it would be easy to spend a whole morning here, This group was nicely placed in the shade of a tree.
