Jaded

Seven solid days of decorating and the end is nowhere near in sight. 
A few days ago we discovered woodworm in the floorboards, which I have since treated but today we discovered them in the plaster on the walls. I didn't even know that this was possible but apparently they can emerge anywhere, including soft metals! 
These tulips were bought for my daughter's birthday 3 weeks ago. I was asked to take them to the new house but I forgot about them and left them in the car, along with the orchid. They fell to pieces as I took them out of the car and as the petals cascaded to the ground, I realised that somehow I felt the same. 
A fellow blipper, Cailleach, kindly offered to write me a 
'get out of decorating' clause. Think I may have to use it in future :))
