Big Boy Shoes

When I said to Josh that he really needed new school shoes and he asked if he needed to get pointed toe shoes to go to High School after the summer, I assumed that the boy who is happiest wearing worn out joggers wouldn't want smart shoes. I did suggest that he ditch the velcro and get a pair of lace ups but he has obviously been keeping an eye on what the other boys wear, especially the High School boys he knows, and he choose a pair of 'pointed toe' shoes. These must be making him feel very grown up because each morning he's put them on he has also gelled his hair. Pleased to note that he still won't wear school socks - todays were bright blue with white stars! He really does make me smile!
