Spring yellow

We went looking for fields of yellow but were just a few days too early for most of the daffodils.  We did however find some bright yellow lichen on a tree in the park and thought it just as vibrant as the crocus and pansy under the grey sky.  We consoled ourselves with  bit of retail therapy!
