Greenware

Wheel Piece #61sits in the "damp cabinet" where it will stay moist until my next class.  When a piece is leather hard and not totally dried out makes it easier to trim.  Note the small hole poked in the side to allow the inner air to escape as the pot dries - otherwise the pot would crack.

This will be a "one-piece-lidded-jar".
First throw an enclosed cylinder, then create a groove that will be transformed into the gallery rim of the bottom section; allowing a "hinge" on the top section to be trimmed so it rests on the gallery.
Finally, slip-attach a knob to the top.
Next week we'll see how it works out.
