Ready to go

Today's the day ........................... to move house

In the original plan, the move would have taken place a month before Dominic was born, giving plenty of time for everything to be ship-shape before he appeared.  But as is often the way of best laid plans, that all went out the window when he was born a week ago today.

So while we all packed, moved boxes in and out of vans, heaved and strained with heavy fridge and washing machine, hoovered, dusted and cleaned - he decided to give it all a miss.  As long as he was fed and watered, he didn't mind being dressed up in clothes still several sizes too big for him and being tucked into the new car seat. 

And, it was the perfect opportunity to catch up on a bit of shut-eye while he was whisked off to the new house ..............
