liking that lichen...

Took Roxy for a walk in the woods this afternoon.
A gloomy and over cast day with strong winds which were unusually warm, really weird. 
She turns into a different person dog in the woods.  She's everywhere at one hundred miles per hour.  Not a scent left overlooked and chased down.  She even managed to chase up three different pheasant.  Hilarious.  It would be great to get a pic but nigh on impossible. 
The thing that caught my eye was the lichen decorating the trees.
Just managing to catch some light. 
Are they homes of woodland wisps and fairies?
Under the trees it was as dark as night at 3 0'clock, very quiet and still. Very atmospheric.
