Two by two....

What an amazing day! the weather was just beautiful, and I could really feel spring in the air - absolutely brilliant!
I went for a little trip at lunchtime down beautiful Sussex country lanes dotted with wild flowers, and the odd sulphur yellow male brimstone butterfly, perfection!
My trip took me this way and that, until I ended up at Shoreham Old fort, and spent a peaceful hour photographing the European wall lizards podarcis muralis, that live there.
These lovely wall lizards have just come out of hibernation, and were happily sunning themselves on the warm, south facing walls.
Every little hole in the cement seemed to be home to at least one lizard, often two....absolutely magical......long may it continue!
