The Sky Reflects Upon Itself

Music and I stayed at the beach for a good long time yesterday evening...seeing the sunset through to an extraordinary fiery conclusion. Difficult to choose a photo; so many dramatic ones... Yet I returned to this one - taken when we had just arrived - for the sake of this luminous reflection. So delicate the color, yet the water gave back the sky to itself, and the sky was awed by the small puffy clouds looking back at her from the watery surface. And the mudflats sculpted the water into delicate forms that smoothed away the weariness of the day. The day was dying, and yet the world was just born.
