'the brekky creek'

One of Queensland's  Q150 icons, the Breakfast Creek Hotel was built in 1889 in the French Renaissance style.
Home to the only remaining wooden kegs of Queensland's iconic XXXX beer (the more Xs the stronger the beer), The Rum Bar  (500 + bottles from around the world), The Spanish Garden Steakhouse and the 'meat tray raffle'( we didn't win!) it's a lovely spot for lunch of a bucket of prawns and a pint of 'fourex' in the beer garden with rugby league on the big screen.
Very Queensland!

For those interested in the other 149 ontheQ150 list, here's the site http://statements.qld.gov.au/Statement/Id/64301 (and it does include the Bee Gees)
