Goodbyes

A sad characteristic of an international job such as one in science, and of living abroad, is that goodbyes are unavoidable: just like yourself, the people you meet tend to be people that move around - and away. I can with 100% certainty say that that is the hardest part of this life for me. Luckily enough, we got by for two years without a goodbye. But sadly this week our first colleague and his wife are leaving for Switzerland. They will be missed!
