Fire fighting

Sometimes life feels like a fire fight. Always busy with the blaze right in front of you, no time to stop and pay attention to the little things.

The little things are the big things...I try to realise that everyday.

Squidge fell asleep in my arms tonight. I had lots of things to do, but I chose to ignore the flames and appreciate the moment.

I looked at her restful face and smelt her hair and stayed there a while just to soak it all in. The other stuff can wait.
