My rescheduled afternoon with the eagle has had to be rescheduled again for a few weeks time. It was pouring at noon so I rang the falconer centre, to so if it was likely to be rain stop play again, to be told there was no event on today. Well at least it saved a wasted journey. Not sure if it was the receptionist or me that had had a senior moment, surely it must have been her.

When the rain finally stopped the sun shone briefly and we popped to the canal to see if water vole were showing yet. No, they were not around this afternoon either. Glad to see you in the reeds though Mr Moorhen.
