A very different Corfe Castle

This is Corfe Castle pre-railway and pre-Oliver Cromwell.  There is nothing picturesque about it, it looks powerful and distinctly uninviting.  (Well, a number of aristocrats met their death in its dungeon.)

The castle is constructed as it looked about four centuries ago, the streets are shown as they have looked in more recent years.  A delightful model village....... and yes, it is one with its own little model village!

All ages will enjoy this creation.  It is in the garden of a tearoom (helpfully called the Corfe Castle Model Village) and no more than twenty yards from the town's square.
