The Green Man

This carving with its patina of age, must be several hundred if not thousands of years old.

This is verified by a closer look.

Within the face, top left, you can see the words ENGLISH NATURE, which ceased to exist after 2006.

Bottom right one can just make out the words, Lottery funded.
